   钱伟强博士是“优秀青年”获得者。他于2002年在北京师范大学获得学士学位;2007年在中国科学院遗传与发育生物学研究所获得博士学位;其后在康奈尔大学,加州大学河滨分校,普渡大学等三所美国大学从事博士后研究;2012年回国任中国科学院上海植物逆境生物学研究中心青年研究员;2013年7月起在北京大学生命科学院,北大-清华生命联合中心任研究员。

研究方向:

 钱博士实验室以拟南芥为模式系统,研究表观遗传学信息如何影响基因表达以及植物生长发育,主要研究方向为DNA去甲基化途径和转座子对附近基因的表达调控。DNA甲基化修饰是一种重要的表观遗传学标志,在基因的表达调控,基因组的结构及稳定性,X染色体的失活和其它生长发育调控等方面都具有十分重要的作用。DNA甲基化的水平主要由甲基化和去甲基化这两个途经来协同调控。在植物中对DNA甲基化途经的研究已经比较深入,但是对DNA去甲基化的分子机制还不清楚。我们将运用遗传学,生物化学和细胞生物学的方法,对植物体内DNA去甲基化的酶学机制以及调控去甲基化的途经进行深入的研究。主要研究方向包括:(1)鉴定参与DNA去甲基化的酶;(2)筛选并研究参与去甲基化调控的因子;(3)表观遗传学信息对基因的表达调控。

  钱博士的相关研究成果在Science, Molecular Cell, Plant Cell, PLoS Genetics 等杂志上发表。
